Thai air force receives more Gripen fighters
LINKOPING, Sweden, April 8 () -- The Royal Thai Air Force has received three more Gripen fighters from Sweden, bringing its fleet of Saab aircraft to nine.The single-engine Gripen is a multi-role fighter with a maximum speed of 1,372 miles per hour at altitude and a combat radius of 432 miles.Thailand in 2008 ordered a total of 12 Gripen fighters through an arrangement with the Swedish Defense Export Agency.
