Mexican maritime patrol planes get EADS logistics support
HERNDON, Va., Sept. 27 () -- Four maritime patrol planes of the Mexican Navy will receive contractor logistics support and services from EADS North America.The four CN235-300 maritime patrol aircraft had been supplied to the Mexican Navy by EADS in 2011 and 2012 through a U.S. Foreign Military Sales contract managed by the U.S. Coast Guard."This aircraft is playing a vital role serving American security interests, and we're proud to continue to support this key Foreign Military Sales initiative for the U.S. government," said Sean O'Keefe, EADS North America chairman and chief executive officer. The contract for logistics support and service has a one-year period of performance with four one-year options. Its value was not disclosed.EADS said an on-site company representative will provide technical support, management of parts and depot maintenance.
